David J Smith Racing is located at Mudgee in New South Wales, only 2 hours from Sydney. Being centrally located ensures easy access to all major metropolitan, provincial and country racecourses enabling all horses the opportunity to be perfectly placed.

The new facilities at David J Smith Racing are located on a private property near Mudgee and offer a comfortable, relaxed and safe environment for the horses.

Facilities on the property include large day paddocks, a 1400-metre inclining sand track and a 50-metre horse swimming pool to allow a range of training regimes to be implemented.

The nearby Mudgee racecourse also allows David to access grass gallops, barrier practise and jump outs when required.

David and his partner Natasha Binns, who is an accomplished track work rider, attempt to give your horse every chance of reaching its full potential.

The stable maintains a hands-on approach and has access to expert veterinarians, farriers, equine dentists and chiropractors to ensure your horse receives the best of care.

A key ingredient to our success is our owner communication and involvement. We value our owners and endeavour to provide them with an enjoyable racing experience.

David regularly sends out quality communication on the progress of your horse. These comprise of photos, videos and audio reports.

Owners are also encouraged to attend track work sessions and regularly visit their horses to make the overall experience more enjoyable.
